Bowed Wall Repair
When there is excessive hydrostatic pressure in the soil surrounding a home, it can prove to be too much for even the strongest basement wall. Over time, this pressure will actually cause the wall to lean into the home. While this can be alarming for a homeowner to see, it is easily fixed with the use of wall anchors and wall anchor plates. The anchors are installed next to the damaged wall, deep within the earth. Then, a plate is installed inside of the home on the damaged wall. The two are connected with a strong, steel rod. This rod can be adjusted over time to add the proper pressure needed to counteract the hydrostatic pressure from the earth surrounding the home. Over time, this will help to push the wall back into place where it belongs.
